Adi Irani was born in Mumbai, India. His father is a cinematographer. He mainly works in Bollywood films. Adi easily got the opportunity to act in films as his father was known in the film Industry.

He started his career in 1978 he has worked on 27 films till now.

In 2001 he worked on the Chori Chori Chupke Chupke film. It is a Hindi language romantic and drama film directed by Abbas Mustan. Adi Irani played a side character role in this movie. He works with famous actor Salman Khan. Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta both of them played the lead actress role in the movie. This movie was released on 9 March 2001. Total cost of the movie is 13 crore and total Box office collection of the movie is 37 crore.

Then after 5 years in 2006, Adi Irani worked on the Pyare Mohan film. It is a Hindi language comedy thriller film directed by Indra Kumar. Indra Kumar played a side character in this movie. This movie was released on 21 April 2006. This movie was not a successful movie at the box office.

After one year in 2007, he was selected for the Welcome film. It is a Hindi language comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee. Adi Irani played the role of Advocate Harkesh Sahni.
